Some excepts from this section of the Notes/Appendix
(fonts: Verdana, PCSB Greek, PCSB Hebrew)
Assembly: ekklhsia eklaisia means "assembly". Unfortunately, in many translations of the Bible it is sometimes translated "assembly" (Acts 7:38; 19:32; Hebrews 2:12) and sometimes translated "church".
Blessing Over Bread: Barooch Atah Adonai Eloheynu Melech HaOlam HaMotzi LeChem Min HaAretz. Blessed are You Lord our God, King of the universe Who brings forth bread from the earth. [ Was this what Yeshua said in Loukas 9:16? ]
Christ: a word that was transliterated from the Greek word Xristo/$ "Christos". The translation of "Christos" is "Anointed One". The Hebrew word for "Anointed One" is "Mashiach". It has been transliterated as "Messiah". Yeshua HaMashiach = Yeshua The Messiah = Yeshua The Anointed One.
`Erodes: "`" is a breathing mark - breath out as you say the word. "E" is the Greek letter Eta, uppercase looks like "H".
Fetus: a Latin word that means unborn baby. People who use the word fetus, are only fooling their ignorant selves.
Favor/Grace: xa/ri$ Charis. "for by favor are you saved", Ephesians 2:8. Gavriel told Miryam that she had found favor with God (Loukas 1:30). Shemuel grew in favor with the Lord and men (1 Shemuel 2:26). Mosheh asked why have I not found favor in Your sight (Numbers 11:11). Hebrew language books today: mozt seh hen bayi nai - you have found favor in my eyes.
God-fearers: non-Jews who followed the God of Israel. Acts 10:2; 10:35; 13:16, 26.
Greeting: Shalom B`shem shel Yeshua HaMashiach - Peace in the name of Yeshua The Messiah. This is probably how the first born-from-above bondslaves greeted one another.
Hebrew is read from right to left. The front cover of an Israeli book is visible when the spine of the book is on the right. I transliterated the words from left to right. Hebrew pronunciations: 'ch' is a guttural sound from the throat. The 'a' is pronounced as 'ah'. A few Hebrew words you are somewhat familiar with:
"amain" (so be it, "ah'main".
Anglicized to "amen")
"hoshanah" (save us, "ho sha nah". Anglicized to "hosanna")
"halleluyah" (praise Yah. Anglicized to "hallelujah")
"David" ("Dah`vid". Anglicized to "Dav`id")
"Adam" ("Ah`dahm". Anglicized to"Ad`am")
"Shaul" ("Sha'ul". Anglicized to "Saul")
"Avraham" (Anglicized to "Abraham")
"Yerushalyim" (Anglicized to "Jerusalem")
"satan" (adversary, "sah tahn". Anglicized to "say tan")
"Sarah" ("Sah`rah". Anglicizied to "Sayrur")
"Yosef". Anglicized to "Joseph"
"Lot" ("Loht". Anglicized to "Laht"
"Gat-Shemanim" (olive grove. Anglicized to "Gethsemane").
Hebrew words have a masculine form and a feminine form. When a woman is speaking to a room full of women, she uses the feminine form of the words. If one male enters the room, the speaker is required to use the masculine form of the words.
Holy Spirit: Ruach HaKodesh. Ha: The. Kodesh: Holy. Ruach: spirit, breath. The Breath of God. The Spirit of God. Yeshua is The Word of God. Yeshua breathed on them and said receive the Ruach HaKodesh (Yochanan 20:22).
Immersion: baptizw. The Greek word "baptidzo" means immerse. Translators have not had the fortitude to translate it, so they transliterated it - baptize. Immersion is a Jewish ritual of cleansing. The Mikvah (the immersion tank) was created by digging a pit. Archaeologists have discovered Mikvaot (plural of Mikvah) all over Israel.
Jesus: a word that was transliterated from the Greek word 'Ihsou~$ "Iesus", which was transliterated from the Hebrew word "Yeshua". The translation of "Yeshua" is "salvation". What an appropriate name for the Savior. He was born in Beit LeChem (House of Bread). The Bread of Life was born in the House of Bread! Mediate on this powerful way Yeshua uses to help you increase your knowledge. If you lived around 10 B.C., are you enough of a Bible student that you would have concluded that the Mashiach, The Bread of Life, would be born in Beit LeChem?
Jew: Yehudi, a member of the tribe of Yehudah. The area in Israel assigned to them by God is call Yehudah. The world has foolishly decided to call it Palestine and assign it to the Muslims. ["It is an fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God", Hebrews 10:31] The plural of Yehudi is Yehudim. The word "Jews" is now used to refer to members of all the tribes. There is a stained glass display in Ben-Gurion Airport that has the coats of arms of all the tribes.
Law: no/mo$. Nomos. The Greek manuscripts use the word to refer to (1) the traditions of men, (2) the Torah (Instruction/Teaching) of Mosheh, (3) the writings of the prophets, (4) the other books of the Old Testament, and (5) fleshly behavioral tendencies. The non-Jews are excused from some of the rituals (Acts 15:19) but everyone is required to keep the principles of the Law (your behavior must exceed the behavior of the Perushim, Matai 5:20). The number one Old Testament Law is to love God (Deuteronomy 6:5). The number two Old Testament Law is to love others (Leviticus 19:18). Yeshua's answer to the Law-Scholars in Markos 12:28 - 33.
Non-Jew: e&qno$. Ethnos also means ethnic, goyim, gentile, nation, race.
Population of the earth: In the fall of 1999, the earth population reached 6 billion. If 660 million more people are added before the tribulation, the population will be the number of man: 6.66 billion people. I used 8 billion to make the calculations in the book of Revelation. Famines, earthquakes, wars, floods, and diseases may keep the population from reaching 8 billion.
Pupil: manqa/nw . Manthano means learn, understand, comprehend. Therefore a student or pupil.

Scriptures:

Kaifa also grouped Shaul/Paulos' writings with the Scriptures (2 Kaifa
3:16).
Septuagint: The Old Covenant. Seventy Jewish scholars translated the Hebrew Old Testament into Greek for the Hellenists (Greek-culture Jews).
Servant: the Greek word is dou~lo$ "doulos". The translation is bondslave. Christians have been bought. "you are not your own, for you are bought with a price" I Corinthians 6:19. Their sins have been paid for by Yeshua's sacrificial death. They have no king but Yeshua.
Synagogue: beit keneset (house assembly), assembly house. See Assembly. "The Keneset" is Israel's Parliament.
Tanakh: The Torah (Instructions/Teachings of Mosheh), the Neviim (Prophets), and the Ketuvim (Writings). The Old Testament.
